QA Engineer

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
• Monitor debugging process results
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

  Qualifications Requirements

• Proven work experience in software testing 3/yr+
• Knowledge of software QA methodologies, testing levels and types, tools and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (Postman, Jmeter, Selenium )
• Basic Programming/Scripting skills in any of Java, Python, JavaScript
• Solid knowledge of SQL, GitLab
• Working knowledge of VSTS (MS TEST)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

  Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an information technology field (e.g., Computer/Management Information Systems (MIS/CIS), Computer Science (CS), Electrical/Computer Engineering (EE/CE), or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
• Experience / knowledge of airline & travel domain
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines or robotic process automation (RPA).
• Familiarity with safety standards and compliance requirements.
